What I did this Xmas

This year’s Christmas card that I created for the owners of my work. Each year, our department creates a card that everyone signs (about 1000 employees) and presents it at our annual Xmas party. This is the 4th card I created, but the first with my cartoons. The card (book) measures 9x12 and is as thick as any other pop-up book. Check out the rest on my Flickr page HERE.




...and the tree has 10 LED lights and sing "Have a Holly Jolly Christmas" when the last page is opened.

New Website Smell

Wife just redesigned the website to better view on tablets and phone (plus update all of the cool new things I created). Check it out here. (Also-will have the new Sun Mask out soon).

Starting again on the Tarot Mask Set

My wife and I are restarting the Tarot Mask Card Set again now that we both have evolved to a higher level of artistic execution. I am starting with the Sun Mask. Here is some sketches and a pic of original. I also put the pic of my devil head to give you an impression of what the sun will finally look like.

Starting to breathe a little more....

Been so busy with visitors, working on the house and work that I haven't been able to do my art..... I actually am working on a veil for a friends wedding as well as the steamship. But I got the inspiration bug to do some testing of silhouettes. Enjoy.

Here are 2 pics from the wedding reception. The reception was held in the Natural History Museum in LA. I can't wait to see the rest of the pictures. I am glad for the opportunity to be a part of this.

Champion for the Sultan Salah ad-Din

Here are some more pics for my Crusader Robot under Salah ad-Din. Still steampunk-but with an Islamic/Ottoman flair. The helmet was based on the Sultan's Calvary and the armor was based off of the foot soldiers. The ax is more of a Persian design.

Free Christmas Ornament

Here is something that you can make at home. Just print out the image on heavy paper and cut along the lines. The deer circle fits inside the larger circle. Enjoy

Victorian Steampunk Iron Horse

Here is the consumer version of my Iron Horse-my 4 legged steam punk walker. I still need to add a Howitzer and possibly a Gatling Gun (and do the detail work on the carriage). I envision this for large farms where the workers drag several tilling machines behind. The Royal army would use this to get a higher vantage point and maneuver the large cannons into a better position.

Finally finished all my projects

I had three back to back projects and finally finished them (the Charger being the first). Here are pics of the 2nd.

The Portland Paper project was a show showcasing paper artists in Portland creating Portland Landmarks. Here is my Steel Bridge.

Final Animals for Christmas Card

Here are the final 2 animals for the Christmas card:White wolves and Snow Deer. Now all I have left is to put together the book.

Start of Christmas Card

Greetings. Here is the start of a Christmas pop-up card that I was tasked to create to give to the owners of our company. This will be the third one that I created for the company(earlier posts show the first one). This theme is winter creatures. I anticipate nine creatures in all. Here is what I have created thus far...

I just finished one with Geese and one with Rams on a crag of rocks (I need to get the pics for those). Also, I wish to thank my wife, Elisa, for her illustrations. She is fantastic and I wish she would draw more and stay away from that photo stuff (rots the brain).
