The mask is done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was based on the Medusa Brooch by Lalique.
Of course-the brooch has the snakes going down-I needed them to be facing up( that is why the book is upside down). So here it is. Enjoy
This blog features my personal paper sculpture work and the images and artists and random flotsam and jetsam that inspire me.

Wow Tanith. I just went to your blog and your masks are stunning. It's great to see someone who is getting recognition. I'm still am but a larvae afraid to commit.
Hi Phillip, I can't wait to see her sister:)) Another amazing piece I bet!
I really appreciate your kind words, they mean a lot, thank you so much:) Though I'm also still a caterpillar waiting to turn into a butterfly :/ In my full-time day job I work in a library, it's very frustrating at times as I'd love to be able to spend so much more time with the masks. But I can dream and the recognition certainly helps ;)
It's a pleasure to meet another mask maker, there aren't that many of us about I often feel.. well certainly not working in paper in one form or another.
Best Wishes and I await those piccies with great anticipation :))
