Napoleonic Dragoon Mechanized Soldier under construction
After getting inspired from watching Sleepy Hollow I wanted to make a robot from that era. My research brought me to all sorts of militia-including Dragoon soldiers and the such. Although I do have a robot head with a tri-corn hat that is waiting for a body......

New Mask
My....how has time flew. I created this mask when I saw promo pics of Angelina Jolie as Maleficent. My wife took these pics several weeks ago, but with house projects and vacation-I just got to them now. Enjoy
Model is Cara White.

More done on the Hercules Beetle Victorian Mask
I have been real busy with work and a night class...BUT I did get to relax and work more on my beetle mask.
The main body gilded and enameled. The head is enameled black and the body is enameled a rich jade green. Here are the wing covers (enameled black) which will be opened to show the bug in flight. Here is the head piece (or crown or additional horns...) This is also enameled Jade green. Here are the legs.

Starting a new Mask series
Elisa and I are starting a new series of masks-Insects. I decided to start out with the Hercules Beetle. Here are some teaser images to wet your whistle.
Carapace covers.
Head piece
The group so far. The actual carapace, one of the carapace covers, head piece, some legs and you can see the mask in the corner.
The mask with a faux gold finish (but not cemented into place). I still have to enamel the mask and finish the legs and wings.
And here is the start of the enameling.
